Three steps, whichever you picked

The stores differ, the sequence does not. From the moment you click through to the moment you are connected is about a minute.

  1. 01

    Open the store page

Every link on this page goes to the official listing — Chrome Web Store, Mozilla Add-ons, Microsoft Edge Add-ons, Google Play, or our own signed installer for Windows.

  2. 02

    Add it

One button. The browser will list the permissions it needs; for a VPN extension that includes reading and redirecting your traffic, which is what a tunnel is.

  3. 03

    Confirm and open it

The icon appears in your toolbar or app drawer. Click it, choose a country, and you are connected — no sign-up screen in between.

Already installed? Do these three things

A minute of setup that decides whether you actually use it.

Pin the icon

In Chrome and Edge, extensions hide behind the puzzle icon by default. Pin SandVPN so connecting is one click, not two.

Pick a country

The free plan reaches four. If you have a site in mind, the Streaming tab searches by service and picks the country for you.

Know what free covers

No time limit, no data cap, no card. Premium adds the other 31 locations and the faster lines — worth it only once you know which country you need.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take?

Under a minute for the browser extensions — one click on the store page, one on the confirmation. The Windows installer is a 17 MB download and takes a little longer, mostly because it installs a system service.

Do I need an account?

No. Install, click, connect. An account only becomes useful when you go Premium or want your settings to follow you between devices.

Which one should I install?

The extension if you want to change country while browsing — it is lighter and switching is instant. The Windows or Android app if you want everything on the device tunnelled, including other browsers and background programs.

Is it safe to install?

Every version ships through the platform's official store, which means it passed that platform's review. The Windows installer is signed and its VirusTotal report is linked from its own page. Nothing here is a sideload.

How do I remove it?

Like any extension or app: right-click the icon and remove, or uninstall from your system settings. Nothing stays behind, and no account is created that you would have to close.

Not sure which one?

The apps page compares all of them side by side, with what each covers.
